I designed, produced and led the team behind the first game development and design bootcamp in the history of Colombia, with international speakers like The Game Company's Kellee Santiago in 2016
GameUP! was an immersive 3-4 month game development and design BootCamp in Bogota, Colombia, that ran from 2015 to 2017. Back in 2015, it was the first of its kind in the country.
During the 3-4 months of the BootCamp, students would learn game programming in Unity, game design basics and pixel art with around 3 to 4 classes per week. Furthermore, we had national speakers like Jairo Nieto (Former co-founder of Brainz Games, acquired by JAM City) as well as online international speakers like Camilo Garcia (Lead Developer for Sims 4 in Electronic Arts) and Kellee Santiago (Co-founder and former President of That Game Company)
